A directory of Baltimore-area restaurants with vegetarian and vegan dishes that hold up as a real meal — not a side dish wearing a vegetarian label. Every listing is verified for 20g or more of complete protein.
Menus love the word "vegetarian." What they mean, most of the time, is a garden salad, a side of rice, or a plate you have to assemble yourself out of three appetizers. None of that is a meal — especially if you're trying to eat like you lift.
20 grams or more of protein, from a source your body can actually use completely — on its own, or paired correctly in the same dish. Anything short of that doesn't make the list, no matter how the menu describes it.
Launching with the counties I already know well. More coverage as the list grows.
I'm a strength coach who counts grams of protein for a living — and an ovo-vegetarian who got tired of doing the same math on every menu, for myself.
